The Polybit Bituplus P 4200 is a high-performance APP (Atactic Poly Propylene) modified bituminous waterproofing membrane, specifically engineered for exceptional durability and waterproofing properties. Its robust composition includes a dimensionally stable reinforcement core of non-woven spun bond polyester rot-proof fabric, weighing 200 g/m².

Application Guidelines
- Application temperature should be between $5^{\circ}C$ to $55^{\circ}C$.
- Surface must be thoroughly cleaned of contaminants and imperfections repaired.
- Prime surfaces with Polyprime SR (solvent based primer) at $4-6~m^{2}/L$ and allow to dry before membrane application. The primer enhances adhesion.
- Install membrane plies from the low point or drains, ensuring water flow is over or parallel to laps. Overlaps should be "up" slope over "down" slope.
- Side overlaps should be a minimum of 100mm, and end overlaps 150mm.
- Torch application: Heat the embossed polyethylene side with a propane gas torch until shiny bitumen appears. Roll forward and press firmly for good bonding. Avoid over-torching to prevent reinforcement damage.
- Seal overlaps by heating and using a round-tipped trowel to ensure uniform melted bitumen flow.
Storage & Handling
Bituplus P membrane rolls must be stored vertically in a shaded area, securely covered by a thick fabric to minimize exposure to sunlight and UV. Do not stack pallets. Shelf life is 12 months when stored as recommended; excessive exposure to heat and UV will reduce shelf life. Avoid contact with skin; clean any stains with a suitable cleaner.
