Premium European Beech Wood (Fagus sylvatica)

Discover the exceptional quality and versatility of European Beech Wood (Fagus sylvatica), a premier hardwood ideal for furniture, flooring, and a variety of other solid wood products. Sourced from the finest sustainable forests across Europe—including Germany (Pollmeier), Romania (Vasicos), Bosnia (Genena), and Croatia—our Beech wood is renowned for being heavy, strong, hard, and possessing excellent bending properties.

European Beech wood features a light reddish-brown color with a fine, uniform texture and closed-pore structure that gives it a high surface quality. It is typically lightly steamed for a perfectly uniform color and kiln-dried (K/D) to an ideal moisture content (e.g., 7-9% for Pollmeier Beech) for all types of furniture and indoor architectural joinery. Despite its hardness, beech wood can be worked easily; it can be cut, planed, drilled, milled, and is especially well-suited to steam bending. Its excellent finishing properties allow it to be stained and varnished very well, offering a variety of design options from a light natural color to a dark elegant look.
